Is it really real?

What is your reality? Is it the things you see in front of you? Is it what is within arm's reach? Do you have the ability to change it? Perhaps, your reality is how you see the world around you. How do you see things? Some say, "You either see the glass half empty or half full." You can say that the "half empty" people are the "it is what it is/play with the cards that are dealt" people. And you can say that the "half full" people are the "hope for tomorrow/it'll be better soon" people. Both people have their own reality. How you see life can determine the way you live it. Think about it. That's like spending most of your time watching television and seeing other people do the things that you want to do. It will either inspire you to do them or make you feel like you'll never have the chance. Your thinking/reality will determine which actions you decide take. A big problem that a lot of us have is being way too con...

Do I need this? Or do I just want it?

Have you ever received a gift and it was the very thing that you asked for, but it just looked...different? It was much bigger on the picture, but it looks so small in your hands now. It was much shinier on television, but it looks pretty dull when you see it in person. Sometimes, the very thing that you thought you wanted was nothing like you'd imagined it to be. With objects, most of the time, you can "return to sender". But, with life, it's not always that simple. We often long for things that we've never had the privilege of experiencing for ourselves. We hear stories about other peoples' adventures and experiences and, depending on how appealing it is to us, we want in. Meditating on those things become very easy to do, too. Once something is in our head and heart, it is considered a done deal. All of our time, effort, money, and attention goes towards that thing. Don't get me wrong. There is nothing wrong with having your heart set on something. ...

Who me? Couldn't be.

The initial denial : "What?! Now I don't even believe this! I...but I just bought these pants. This is the only size that I wear. I tried them on in the store and everything. I mean, yeah, it was, like, 3 weeks ago. But still. I can't believe they shrunk like this. I need to take them back, then." (looks around) "Let me see if it's just these pants." (tries on favorite stretchy jeans) "That's odd. These aren't as stretchy as they normally are." (snaps fingers) "Ah ha! I know what it is. I knew better than to put these in the dryer. The tag clear says, "Hand wash only", and when you hand wash something, you should never put it in the dryer. Duuuuh! Who doesn't know that? Let me see what else seems off." (looking through closet) "Ah! My favorite blazer! Haven't sported this in a while." (struggling arm into sleeve) "Hmm. My undershirt must be too thick. Let me take it off." (stripped down t...

Day 1: The 1st Text Him: Good morning, beautiful Her: Awwwww. (lovey dovey emoji face) Thank you! Yes, it is a good morning! Him: What ya got planned for today? Her: Going to work then going to hang with my girls for a evening session of chats. Lol. Later that day, after he didn't respond to your last text: Her: Hey, you. Just got off of work. They whipped my butt today. Lol. What are you up to? Him(almost immediately because he never was busy): Nothing much. About to link up with some of my guys for a bit. Might hit up a party or two later on. What are you on for the night? (At this point, already, you start to question whether or not he's even genuinely interested in you because he didn't pay attention to your text from earlier. But you ignore your instincts and proceed texting) Her: I was going to hang with some of my girls tonight. Him: That's what's up? What time are you doing that? Her: In a couple of hours or so. I won't be over there...
